This one is me.
Or at least that was me that day in the chalupa while climbing the Napo River, near the border of Ecuador.
Now I don’t know if I’m the same, if I’m so happy, or if I live so many adventures.
But I try.
Every morning of my life upon waking I try to remember those words of Dai , the Japanese boy who had just finished a 30-day meditation techniques course in Rishikesh.
We were sitting in a nice cafe.
I had just finished my 200-hour Hatha Yoga course and he had just finished his meditation techniques course.
Imagine: 30 days waking up at 5 in the morning and learning the oldest techniques about mind control, breathing and body care .
And I go and ask him: Dai, if you could give me just one piece of advice, if you could summarize in one sentence everything you learned in the course, what would it be?
And Dai told me those words that can change everything .
«Antonio. Every morning when you wake up before opening your eyes, take a deep breath, feel your breath. Notice how the air enters through the holes in your nose, fill yourself with air and stay there, feeling that you are alive, awake, that a new day begins ».
Don’t pay much attention to me, but I think that there Dai talked about being present and being grateful.
